Canadian Trucking Company Announces Big Move to San Angelo

SAN ANGELO — A Canadian trucking company announced Tuesday that it will be moving to the Concho Valley.

According to the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, on May 24, Allen’s Transport, Ltd, (ATL) based in Leduc, Alberta, Canada completed the purchase of the facility at 1182 Gas Plant Road in San Angelo, Texas.

Allen’s is one of North America’s leading heavy haulage and logistics companies with a fleet of trucks, custom trailers and combinations of equipment to safely and efficiently service petrochemical, mining, pulp and paper stations , industrial, refining and generators.

“Allen’s Transport’s acquisition of the Gas Plant Road property strengthens our position as a city with strong ties as a trucking hub,” said Mayor Brenda Gunter. As Mayor, I am proud to welcome Allen’s Transport to Texas and the San Angelo business community.

The new San Angelo Terminal at Gas Plant Road is a 24,500 square foot industrial facility on 10 acres and includes 7 high bays, repair and maintenance areas, an equipment cleaning area and operations offices.

The 2014-built property will serve as Allen’s Transport’s US headquarters with services provided throughout Texas, the United States and Canada.

“This major industrial recruitment transaction began in 2019, as part of a combined effort by the Economic Development Department of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce and the City of San Angelo Development Corporation (COSADC). ATL is developing a strong business model in West Texas and has chosen San Angelo as its US headquarters,” said Michael Looney, vice president of economic development. “San Angelo is an excellent location for ATL’s service to industrial and power generation customers in Texas and will connect industrial businesses throughout the greater Southwest United States and Canada.
