Team17 announces action-platformer deck-building The Knight Witch for consoles and PC

Today, acclaimed publisher Team17 and developer Super Mega Team announced a partnership to bring their Metroidvania deck builder, The Knight Witch, to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC more late this year.

Accompanying the announcement is a new trailer showcasing the 2D action-adventure title in all its glory. Go ahead and take a look below:

As you can see in the images above, The Knight Witch is a slick and fluid 2D Metroidvania that mixes arcade shoot-’em-up action with light RPG mechanics, combined with character-building gameplay. deck for good measure.

You assume the role of the titular witch knight as you explore the lost city of Dungeonidas, while doing your best to repel the attack of a mysterious threat led by a group of dastardly golems.

No concrete release date has yet been set, but Team17 promises the game will launch later in 2022.

With over 30 unique spell cards to choose from in a magical deck-building system and knight abilities to upgrade and upgrade, players can customize Rayne’s build to suit their playstyle, eliminating the invading golems in the most efficient way. Like other Knight Witches, Rayne thrives on the love and adoration of the citizens of Dungeonidas, growing stronger and stronger through their continued support – players can choose to capitalize on this, lying to adoring locals for their own ways, or they can be honest, sharing the painful truth with the masses.
